| PDID101 | Design & Materials | Theory / Practical | It provides insight on construction materials generally used on site. Each module has an interdisciplinary approach to the study of design by dealing with the reasoned application of knowledge and skills. |
| PDID102 | Basic Design and Visual Arts | Theory / Practical | To encourage the students to develop visual thinking and perception of the fundamentals of all the arts, design and craft work. To provide an introduction to art, its philosophy and appreciation. To familiarize the students with the elements and principles of design and composition. |
| PDID103 | Furniture Design and Detailing | Theory / Practical | The course provides a framework to analyze and design furniture forms scientifically and sensitizes the student’s visual perception of furniture as a single form and as a system in a given interior space. |
| PDID104 | Building Construction | Practical | To introduce the various building elements and their functions. To familiarize the students with different tools/equipment used in building construction. To enable them to understand the concept of load transfer in load bearing and framed structures. |
| PDID105 | Graphic Design | Practical | To familiarize the students with various drawing tools and accessories used in drafting. To introduce different lettering techniques. To produce geometrical compositions and forms. |

| PDID201 | ID Studio – I (One Room Apartment) | Theory / Practical | To familiarize the students with the design process and the aspects and constraints to be considered while designing interior projects especially of a residential type, which will include spatial, functional, material, and visual experience. |
| PDID202 | Design & Materials – II | Theory / Practical | To introduce the various materials used for wall and ceiling finishes, with use of lights, glass and metal in interiors. Use of these materials in various aspects of interior designing. |
| PDID203 | Furniture Design and Detailing – II | Theory / Practical | To enable the students to understand the design attributes and the construction techniques and process of furniture designing in interior works. |
| PDID204 | Building Construction – II | Practical | To enable the students to understand and experience various types of construction materials and design of interior components that are built on site, with combination of various materials and with a focus on vertical connectivity, mezzanine floors, parapets & railings, partitions etc. |
| PDID205 | Computer Aided Designing (AutoCAD) | Practical | To introduce different drafting techniques to produce 3D drawings of various objects and spaces as well as use of light, shade & shadow. To learn three dimensional presentations. |
